Justin's Academy Awards

So, i got to thinking about two months ago that i thought the academy was retarded on many occasions. Why? Because they have obviously given out many awards for many reasons other for than the performances in front of or behind the camera. This has caused many undeserving oscars (i.e. halle berry.) Then entertainment weekly is doing this thing called recall the gold on their website. The are doing some of the awards every five years backwards until....1980 i believe. Then i had a great idea. I love movies! And i have opinions! So i decided to do my own academy awards starting from 1980 until the present. I am not sure why i started with 1980 but i think it is because the greatest movie of the 80's was made in 1980 and did not win best picture which is still one of the biggest academy mistakes. So i have been working on this project for freaking ever...about two months. I am doing all of the four major categories and posting them on this here blog until i am finished. I have finally finished 1980. But on a side note, the 1980 best actress category sadly goes unchanged from what it originally was because i have only seen one of the movies in question and no nothing of the performances so i felt i had no right to change them. I am not sure anybody will even care but that isn't really the point. I am doing it because it is a lot of fun for me and i think chris will get a kick out of it. The winners are highlighted in red. The ones that I nominated that are different from the original nominations are italicized. Ok, on with 1980 already!!!

**It seriously pains me to take away best director and best picture from ordinary people because it is truly a beautiful and amazing film........unfortunately raging bull is a tad bit better.**

Birthday!

I just wanted to say that I had an awesome freaking birthday and I am so glad that everyone came! Thanks to those of you that helped pull my party together and thanks to those who travelled far to come to it. Thanks for all my great presents! I love you all!

Okay, so I don't know if everyone got all the info for this weekend, so here I am. My party is at 4pm on Saturday and it is at a church so we can play indoor volleyball. Here are directions to it:

Stake Center:
14550 S Juniper Crest Rd:
West on 134th
Left at 4800 W (2nd stop light)
Stay on this road--sharp right turns road into Juniper Crest
Stay on road straight through stop sign, stake center on left.

So, like I said, we are going to be playing indoor volleyball but those of you who do not want to play, it's totally cool because there will be games and fun people to chat with and lots of food. I really hope everyone can come!

We are leaving Cedar City at 5 tonight and will get to Salt Lake around 9. See you all tonight!

But most MOST MOST of all, we want to see Amelia and Brent this weekend because we haven't seen them in SOOO long, and we miss them most terribly.
