Oscar Results

First, a couple notes, courtesy of Jesse.
Thanks for everyone who participated. We got a total of 9 ballots. EVERYONE got the makeup category WRONG...which is puzzling because if you think about Star Trek, with all the aliens and everything, it should have been obvious that they would win for makeup against Il Divo and The Young Victoria. I don't know why, but I didn't even consider that Star Trek could win, and now I feel a bit stupid. Also, EVERYONE got the Visual Effects category and the Art Direction category RIGHT, which is good because I think it was pretty obvious that Avatar would win those categories. So, here are the winners of each category and the people who guessed them right in parenthesis. Enjoy:

So there you have it! If there are any errors, sorry, but it's not the end of the world. I would suggest getting over it. :) You know, I think that Best Picture should be worth more, because it is THE category, and only 3 of us guessed it right! This year was pretty up in the air with all the precious movies to come out and be nominated. I know I felt a little on the blind side when trying to pick the winners, especially when you're up against a serious man like Jake! (Inglourious basterd!) It's definitely been an education this year. Uh...and something about avatar and district 9...

Until next year!

Yes, I think we should get extra points for getting the best picture correct. I am glad that movie and the director won.
And that last paragraph is hilarious!

We meant to type El Secreto de Sus Ojos on foreign language film, but the one who picked that category correctly is right. And it doesn't really matter. Jake got 17. Good work.
