HOW ON EARTH DID FRANKIE EDGAR BEAT BJ PENN?!?!?!??!!?!? WHAT?!?!?!?! I had as good of a chance at winning the world series as he did of winning....oh crap, I better get to a ballpark!
I was totally blown away by this. I think Penn's problem with this match was that he thought it would be a cakewalk, so that's how he trained. He thought it was going to be easy so he didn't take it seriously. Kind of like when Matt Serra beat St. Pierre. It would never happen twice. On a different note, did you see how Anderson Silva acted during his fight? I have lost all respect for that guy. I say take away his belt.
yeah, I lost all respect for him as well. He may very well be the best pound for pound fighter in the world, but acts like a douche. He pretty much said he was in there to embarrass maia (?) because he disrespected him. I would be down with taking away his belt or suspending him. That was a joke. And you're right, Penn totally didn't take that fight seriously. But it would never ever happen again, that is a guarantee.
You know what I'd like to see? I'd like to see St. Pierre move up a weight class and fight Silva. Or have them fight at a catch weight. Let's see if Silva acts like an ass clown then!
I would love to see a Silva vs. St. Pierre fight. That would be the fight of the century. I still think Silva would win though, unfortunately I think he is the best fighter in the world, and I think pierre is a close second.
