Comedy Jokes That Must Die
Is anyone else sick of hearing the same jokes in every sitcom and comedy? I know I am. Here are some of the worst ones:
He's standing right behind me, isn't he?
We've all seen this a million times. Someone is saying something bad about someone in front of a crowd of people when suddenly, the butt of the joke is standing right behind them, hearing every word.
Dog sniffs crotch and/or humps someone
This doesn't even need explanation. I am so sick of seeing this, and I have seen it as recently as two days ago, in the new movie "She's Out Of My League."
Fighting one minute, kissing the next
Two people, who supposedly hate each other, are screaming in each others' faces, when suddenly they can't help themselves but to passionately kiss each other.
Can we please come up with some original jokes, people??

Best American Idol Performances So Far
So, if you haven't been watching American Idol, here are some of my favorite performances so far. This week, it's the Top 12 doing songs by The Rolling Stones so...hm...that should be interesting to say the least. Crystal Bowersox is my prediction and my hope as the winner this season. She's pretty cool. Enjoy the videos!

Oscar Results
First, a couple notes, courtesy of Jesse.
Thanks for everyone who participated. We got a total of 9 ballots. EVERYONE got the makeup category WRONG...which is puzzling because if you think about Star Trek, with all the aliens and everything, it should have been obvious that they would win for makeup against Il Divo and The Young Victoria. I don't know why, but I didn't even consider that Star Trek could win, and now I feel a bit stupid. Also, EVERYONE got the Visual Effects category and the Art Direction category RIGHT, which is good because I think it was pretty obvious that Avatar would win those categories. So, here are the winners of each category and the people who guessed them right in parenthesis. Enjoy:
LEADING ACTOR (Chris, Jake, Jesse, Jessica, Justin, Kelsey)
Jeff Bridges in "Crazy Heart"
SUPPORTING ACTOR (Bryan, Chris, Jesse, Jessica, Justin, Kelsey, Ryan)
Christoph Waltz in "Inglourious Basterds"

So there you have it! If there are any errors, sorry, but it's not the end of the world. I would suggest getting over it. :) You know, I think that Best Picture should be worth more, because it is THE category, and only 3 of us guessed it right! This year was pretty up in the air with all the precious movies to come out and be nominated. I know I felt a little on the blind side when trying to pick the winners, especially when you're up against a serious man like Jake! (Inglourious basterd!) It's definitely been an education this year. Uh...and something about avatar and district 9...
Until next year!

Academy Awards
Hey, everyone needs to fill out an academy awards ballot and email it to me at justinbbv@yahoo.com. Do it. And no I don't care that I just posted my email address on the internet. Who cares?! So here is a link to the list of nominees, then fill it out and email it to me. Now! Jesse won two years ago and I won (barely) last year. It's fun. Who cares if you don't know anything about the movies. Fun competition people. Go!

What a Disappointment!
Okay, so I was on the American Idol bandwagon for about two seconds...
Did anyone else watch this week? The top 12 girls performed solos on Tuesday and the top 12 boys performed solos on Wednesday, and let me tell you, it was atrocious! I had many favorites make it into the top 24 from Hollywood Week so I was totally excited to hear them sing. Hey, don't judge me! I get excited for silly things. I thought it was going to be awesome. How wrong I was...how wrong! It was less like an awesome concert and more like a "who is going to pull ahead as the best of the worst"? Based on those performances, they could pick names out of a hat to eliminate and I wouldn't be surprised, or sad, to see anyone go.
What exactly went wrong? They could pick any Billboard song, for crying out loud, and what did they pick? The most cliche songs imaginable. These are songs that are on every karaoke machine on the planet...yes, even the ones in Japan. "Hand in Pocket" by Alanis Morissette, "American Woman" by The Guess Who, "What About Love" by Heart, and my personal favorite (sarcasm!!!) which has been sung TO DEATH on American Idol, "Feeling Good" by (most recently) Michael Buble.
I'm starting to consider the possibility that none of them could actually hear themselves sing, because I've never heard so many terrible notes on American Idol EVER. At least if you pick a crappy song, you should sing it well! Or am I mistaken?? I really want to know what happened from Hollywood Week to this week that made them all suck. It's a good thing they only eliminate a certain number of people each week or there would be a massacre!
Oh, and if that wasn't bad enough, Ellen has become the new, less-crazy, Paula Abdul. "I really like you, I think you sang it well, and I love your look...I hope people vote for you (even though that was terrible, terrible singing) because I really love you..." Gets some balls, Ellen! Say what you really mean! When you say the same thing to everyone, you're basically saying nothing. They can't all have a second chance just because you like them as people. And what happened to the jokes? Don't stop telling the funny, refreshing jokes, Ellen, please! Some of us are counting on them to survive!
