Hobbies
I have lots of free time on my hands and I decided that I want to explore some new hobbies. I want to give a lot of different things a try and see if I can find anything new that I really really enjoy. So, I was wondering if anyone would like to suggest any hobbies to me? Mostly, I need things that are accessible to me, and that limits it quite a bit. Because I don't have a car most of the time, I can't exactly run off rock climbing every day, for example. The first new hobby I'm experimenting with is Scrapbooking. This mostly came about because I've been going through all of my old boxes of stuff from my parents' garage, and I found a lot of stuff that I wanted to be organized and remembered. It's been pretty interesting, I don't have a lot of scrapbooking stuff so I have to be very creative if I want the pages to be interesting at all. Over the past few days I've used drier sheets and candy wrappers to decorate my pages. :l I tried the digital scrapbooking and I wasn't a huge fan, I felt very limited. Anyway, I've really enjoyed the book club (sorry I'm a little behind this month in finishing the book, but I'm close!) so I want to try other new things. Help.

Well, you have Internet access, so I wholeheartedly endorse scambaiting (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scambaiting). Get into that and kiss your spare time goodbye.
What about digital photo manipulation, or making cool stuff like pianos and cd players for my car out of legos. You could try impersonations. What about a collection of something? What about a photo diary of a whole year? Or, a journal for a time period determined by you that cannot be written using any written words.
The kids and I do a lot of nature collecting while we are on our walks- flowers, branches, bones, trees, rocks, etc. Some of it we bring home, but some of it we just take pictures of. I have a folder of pictures on my desktop of all the wildflowers we have found.
We have loved learning about foreign countries and doing all sorts of things about that country- cooking, making traditional crafts and clothing, watching movies, reading books (fiction and nonfiction), etc.
Or pick any subject that you think is interesting and find out more about it- I could spend days on the internet surfing if people didn't need to eat around here.
Tennis. When you come up here to visit I would like you to bring your tennis rackets please :)
